Abstract

During Lincoln University’s 2017 spring break, a handful of students embarked on a cultural trek to the tiny Caribbean nation of Haiti. Considered the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, it is only about 680 miles from the glitz and glitter of Miami. Jeri Perkins, one of the students who went to Haiti, tells her story, and how it changed her life.
