Jeri Perkins is a rising Senior at Lincoln University, Missouri majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Perkins is a fellow in the Emma Bowen Foundation, a program that sponsors her internship with NBC Bay Area News in San Jose, CA. Ms. Perkins' experiences working with the Production, Community Relations, Digital Media and Creative Services departments have given her the skills to produce/host the emerging show “Impact” on JCTV.

Since its arrival in 2016 Impact has expanded to provide coverage through social media broadcasting, hosting events, facilitating panel discussions and partnering with Lincoln University campus and community organizations to provide media coverage for local, national and international events.

Ms. Perkins goals are to use her platform to serve as a voice for the people by telling their stories. While raising awareness for social issues that inform, educate, and unite the community. Ms. Perkins creates her own content. This allows her to cover a variety of events with unique story angles to enhance the message she shares with her audience. Ms. Perkins partners with media outlets such as NBC Bay Area News, JCTV and Clarion News to film and produce content. In addition to organizations like the Joshua House Church, Give Every Artist a Chance, the LU Women’s Resource Center, the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, Hellen Kassa Girls Lead Forward, Santa Clara Aquamaids US Junior National Synchronized Swimming Team, the LU Honor’s College, the Dr. Jabulani Beza International Students Center, Spring Break in Haiti, Autism Speaks, the Soma Community Church and Hope For Caribbean Kids to cover events.
