Abstract
Abstract: The Louisiana Center for the Book in the State Library of Louisiana is proud to present the 19th edition of our free, world-class literary celebration of the Louisiana Book Festival (louisianabookfestival.org/index.html). Come join the fun on October 28, 2023, in downtown Baton Rouge at the State Library of Louisiana, the State Capitol, the Capitol Park Museum, and nearby locations. The Grit Lit panel consisted of writers who exemplify this subgenre of Southern (though not exclusively Southern), blue-collar literature: Frank Bill, Daren Dean, and Meagan Lucas. Schedule: 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Capitol Park Museum Auditorium Everybody Has a South: Grit Lit, with Frank Bill, Daren Dean, and Meagan Lucas.
